Hi Lake,

The answer depends on which version of Online Banking you're using. If you are using the new "side-by-side" mode in QuickBooks 2009 or 2010, you simply click the "Select Items to Delete" button, and then choose the transactions you want to get rid of, either individually or based on date downloaded.
.
If you are using either QuickBooks 2008 and earlier or the "Register Mode" in newer versions, it's a bit more cumbersome. You'll need to add those transactions to the register, and then delete them (either using the drop-down menu: Edit > Delete or Ctrl+D)
.
Hope that helps. :-)

Gabrielle,

When using the online banking, do you know how to delete unmatched transactions that were cleared in a previous reconciliation? There was an overlap in the download dates and now these transactions will never "match" because they were previously matched.

A QB Quick tip on this would be excellent. :-)

do you know if that sale was extended? My partner purchased quick books a few months ago for our newly expanded business... but i was still doing my own system or manually creating invoices, and tracking them etc.... we are going to be mainly internet based, and wanted to know if there was any way of tracking online transactions, deposits, pymts etc made through our site and managed by a shopping cart, and webstore not connected to quickbooks.... and this seems to be the best way of tracking it, problem is i only have the simple, basic start version, not the pro version.

Okay, just got the official word from Intuit - the one-day free offer for QuickBooks Pro 2009 DOES in fact apply also at www.Staples.com - right on their home page on Monday, December 22nd (only).

The way it works is you use the Staples $40 off instant coupon. Then you pay the difference plus sales tax. Then send you in the $159 mail-in rebate.

Bottom line, the only thing you pay for is sales tax on the discounted amount of the software (before rebate). Good deal.
